Description: loud a/c unit on roof of lorraine hotel _________________________________________ 11/17/11 Arrived @ 6:49 PM 708 Officer 743 and I responded to this loud a/c unit complaint that came in via dispatch. Upon arrival we parked at 2625 Collins Av, we were clearly able to hear a loud vibrating sound while we were inside the car with the windows up. We conducted our investigation by walking north and south of the property line. The excessively loud vibrating sound was covering the entire 26th Street area. We went to the lobby area of 2601 Collins and was able hear the unreasonably loud sound echoing, we continued our investigation by going to the roof top of 2601 Collins Av and confirmed that the loud noise was coming from the cooling system of A/C located at the rooftop. During our investigation, a second complaint came in. We spoke with the front desk and informed them of the complaint and explained the City's noise ordinance.
