Project Name: Htg13-04995Description: Shortly after we had submitted the permit application we were notified the owner wanted to delay the replacement. This job was placed in our on hold file until I received the first notice on 7/18/13 dated 7/15/14 with a fee amt of $215. I promptly sent in the completion card along with the $215 fee which was received and processed by indy on 7/25. I was under the impression the fee was for not submitting completion card. On 8/7/14 I received the 2nd notice dated 8/5/14 with a $215 fee. I immediately sent an email to permitquestions@indy.gov with a copy of the canceled check to which they replied the fee was a monthly assessment since jan 2014 when the permit expired. As an out of town contractor for indy i'm not familiar with the permit requirements for canceled jobs. I take full responsibility for not being aware of the 6 month expiration. I assumed it was the standard 12 months so I felt the $215 fee was reasonable.
