Description: LOUD MUSIC ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I arrived at approimately 5.22 PM. Upon exiting my car on Collins Ave, across the street from the parking lot, I could hear unreasonably loud music coming from inside the park. I met with the police officers at the entrance to the park and the music was still unreasonably loud from there. It was necessary to raise our voices to have a conversation We went inside the park and saw that a DJ was set up with 2 large speakers and there were approx 50 plus people having a barbeque. I spoke with Ms Valarie Leavirty who showed me a CMB receipt showing that she had rented the pavilion for a birthday barbeque. The reverse side of the receipt said that the noise ordinance had to be obeyed. I pointed this out to her and issued a written warning. I told her the DJ had to cease and that if a 2nd valid complaint was received then the fine to her would be $250.00.
